The problem
Many pharmacies still record stock, sales and expiry dates by hand. Medicines expire on the shelf unnoticed, stock runs out without warning, and bills take too long to write. Hospitals that also run a pharmacy face the same problem twice, with patient admissions and surgery charges kept in separate registers.
